Definition
The state in which machines resolve every reference to a business to the one entity it is, and neither confuse it with a namesake nor merge it with another.
How we use the term
Entity disambiguation is authority control applied to a business. The technique is sameAs: pointing the entity at its authoritative identifiers (Wikidata, the Google Knowledge Graph, a Legal Entity Identifier) so its authority does not tangle with a namesake. 'Resolvable' is the check; 'resolve as one entity' is the law of the category.
