Definition
Systems that combine a neural model with symbolic knowledge: the language model reads and writes natural language while a knowledge graph or ontology supplies verified facts and the logic that constrains the answer.
How we use the term
Retrieval over a graph is the common form today. The Authority Record is the symbolic half such a system reads.
