Definition
The field of computer systems that perform tasks associated with intelligence: learning from data, representing and reasoning over knowledge, understanding language and acting toward a goal. Its two traditions, symbolic (explicit facts and rules) and generative or connectionist (patterns learned from data), and the hybrids that join them, are the families beneath this concept.
How we use the term
In this scheme the facet covers AI as it finds, reads, verifies and judges businesses: generative search, agents, retrieval and grounding. The How AI Decides page is where the firm explains it to a buyer; the seven checks by name live on that page and nowhere else.
