Definition
Modelling an organization as a set of entities and the relationships between them before anything is published: inventorying what exists, naming each thing one way, giving it a stable identifier, defining how it relates to the others and mapping it to external references.
How we use the term
The first step of every Build. Markup, automation and content then draw on the model; markup without the model beneath it is tagging on sand.
