The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) standard for publishing a controlled vocabulary (a thesaurus, a taxonomy, a classification) as linked data: each concept with a permanent address, preferred and alternate labels, a definition, broader, narrower and related links, and matches to the same concept in other vocabularies.
