The knowledge a language model acquired in training and holds in its weights: general knowledge and the entities seen often enough to be memorized, fixed until the next training run.
How we use the term
Near-empty for a business seen on a few hundred pages, so answers about that business come from retrieval at run time, where the business has live control of what is found.
