Definition
Markup, usually JSON-LD in a page's head, that states in the shared schema.org vocabulary which entities a page describes, their properties and how they relate, so that search engines and assistants can read the page as data.
How we use the term
The form in which the Record is published on web pages; emitted by the compiler, never hand-written per page.
